Projects in the Chichester Area

As the fifth and latest local authority to join Coastal Partners, Chichester District Council has a range of coastal projects underway which will improve resilience against flood and storm events, improve amenity for residents and enhance the natural landscape of Chichester Harbour and beyond.

Take a look below to find out more about the projects underway.

With funding secured in 2025 from Chichester District Council, Havant Borough Council and the Environment Agency, work is now underway on auditing the harbour’s defences – this data will inform solutions to improve the flood resilience of local communities and address rising sea levels resulting from climate change.
