To support the safe delivery of the Langstone Coastal Scheme, a temporary junction will be constructed on the A3023 Langstone Road from January 2027. The junction will provide access to the project’s main construction compound and will be used by vehicles delivering materials, plant and equipment required for the works.
Ahead of the work to construct the temporary junction and construction compound haul route through the fields north of the Royal Oak, a small amount of investigative and preparatory work is taking place during November. These works include digging a number of trial holes to identify underground utilities and clearing some additional areas of bramble vegetation from the gated entrance along the route of the compound access track. No hedgerows or trees will be affected during these works.
