Phase 4 of NPI Coastal Defence Scheme

Work is progressing on the Portsmouth City Council North Portsea Island Phase 4 scheme. Before our contractor Mackley starts work on the defences next to the coastal path, a section of the coastal path will be temporarily closed from 1st July 2020, as shown in the map below. This is to keep the public safe. Diversion signs will be in place until the new, wider footpath consistent with the rest of the scheme opens to the public; the footpath along Eastern Road will remain open throughout works.

There are no road closures planned for the Eastern Road.
