South Hayling Remedial Beach Works

Summary

Havant Borough Council are carrying out beach clearance and maintenance work along the promenade at Eastoke from Monday 3rd February.

The work will involve removing shingle material that built up on the promenade during recent storms. Our contractors will collect and redistribute the material back onto the beach and fill any gaps where erosion has occurred.

This remedial work will help to restore the beach levels and ensure a clear walkway on the promenade in preparation for the next beach management campaign.

Key Information

  • Work is due to start on site on 3rd February 2025 for approximately 1 week.
  • The work will be carried out by Les Searle group and working hours will be between 6am and 10pm on a standard day.
  • Please be aware of the heavy machinery and be vigilant of this when using the beach.
