On behalf of Chichester District Council we will be carrying out repair work on the Seagrove seawall. We will be working alongside Suttles to deliver the repair work required.
We will be setting up a small compound as shown in this map. To reduce the risk of slipping the area will first be jet washed, once this has been carried out 3 x 150mm cores will be drilled on top of the sea wall. 15 m3 of concrete will then be poured in order to fill the void and once this is complete, the cores will be re-instated and the works will be demobilised.
During the works, there may be an increase in noise and disruption such as a slight increase in vehicle useage in the area. For works such as concrete pours, about 2/3 concrete wagons will need access to the compound location and a small no parking zone may be set up around the entrance but signs will be placed ahead of this.
Works are estimated to take 2 weeks, and working hours are likely to be subject to tide times, but are expected to take place during daylight hours. Notice of any changes will be given where possible.
