Selsey Coastal Scheme Public Events - April 2025

Chichester District Council have been awarded funding from the Environment Agency to develop options and outline designs for updating Selsey’s sea defences.

The ‘Selsey Coastal Scheme’ is now investigating what future defences could look like, and we would like to engage with the local community to hear your opinions and discuss the multi-million pound project.

Join us to learn about the new coastal scheme, share your thoughts, and meet the project team.

Saturday 26th April 10am – 2pm

The event will feature the history of Selsey’s sea defences, why a project is needed, the challenges of the scheme, what is happening now, how the risk of flooding is monitored, and what you can do to protect yourself and your home.
