Malgosia Hiett (Goshe) completed a BSc in Biology at Southampton University and a MSc in Coastal Management at Newcastle University. After studying, she spent a year as Research Co-ordinator for a non-governmental organisation on a small remote island in Fiji. On returning to the UK, she joined the Channel Coastal Observatory working on projects including the Solent Dynamic Coast Project and North Solent Shoreline Management Plan.
Goshe joined the Environment Licencing and Consenting team on a permanent basis in 2022, having already provided support to the team over six years previous to this. She will continue to help deliver environmental assessments for Flood and Coastal Erosion Risk Management schemes and strategies, in addition to working on the Solent and South Downs Regional Habitat Compensation Programme and developing future potential habitat creation opportunities / environmental improvement initiatives.
