Rachel completed her undergraduate study and MSc in Oceanography at the University of Southampton in 2014, focusing on how phytoplankton physiology, ecology and productivity are controlled by the physical environment and how this may be affected by climate change. Rachel started at Coastal Partners during 2016 working as a project support officer for the Southsea Coastal Scheme and the North Portsea Island Scheme. She also became involved in the Solent Bird Studies providing project support including data entry and GIS mapping. In 2017 Rachel moved to the Policy Team as a Coastal Engineer.
