As a Coastal Engineer, you will undertake the role of either an NEC Site Supervisor or Project Manager/Assistant Project Manager, where you will help to protect communities and shape our coastal landscape for future generations.

A summary of each role is provided below:

NEC Site Supervisor

  • Undertake the role of an NEC Site Supervisor, supporting the Managing Supervisor in monitoring the construction works
  • Supporting the Managing Supervisor in monitoring the construction works, resolving technical issues and surveys using GPS.
  • You will be mostly site based and work alongside the client’s project and contract managers
  • You will have knowledge of civil engineering processes and construction methods
  • You will need a degree in civil engineering or closely related discipline

Project Managers/Assistant Project Managers

  • The role involves leading or assisting with the project management function and managing a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Manage work packages and report progress to a wide audience of interested stakeholders.
  • Devise and execute procurement strategies for external suppliers of both professional services and construction works
  • You will need a degree in civil engineering, construction management, built environment, geography, project management or related discipline
