Our Geomatics Division provide a professional land surveying service to both Coastal Partners and local authorities in Southern England. We provide topographic and coastal surveying, highway, and utilities surveys; and aerial surveys via UAV with a suite of equipment and tools including total stations, GNSS and laser scanners.  

You will be an experienced surveyor, technically competent and capable of supervising a survey team to produce topographic surveys and aerial surveys. You will be able to process and manage complex survey datasets without supervision and perform appropriate quality checks to meet agreed specifications. You will be expected to develop risk assessments and safe systems of work, to ensure the survey team health, safety and welfare while working outdoor in all weather conditions. 

You will have commercial experience to enable continued growth of the Geomatics brand as a fee earning, professional service to clients and partners to a high standard. You will be expected to prepare quotations and engage with clients to support the development and implementation of their engineering projects via appropriate survey services.  

Suitable applicants will require an HNC in Civil Engineering or Construction in the Built Environment (or related discipline) and 2 years+ relevant experience. And ideally a formal qualification in Geospatial/Surveying/Mapping or other equivalent training with relevant experience.

You will be enthusiastic, enjoy working outdoors, be environmentally aware and have confidence in your ability to find solutions to problems. Experience of BIM, RPAS/UAV qualification, 3D modelling, point-cloud data collection and processing would be an advantage. 

We apply a suite of applications to generate high quality and dependable outputs to meet our client needs. You will need extensive experience in the use of Autodesk products such as AutoCAD and Civil3D, specialized survey processing and photogrammetry platforms such as LSS, Trimble Business Centre, Leica Cyclone and Pix4D or equivalent. Experience of using GIS software such as ESRI ArcGIS would also be an advantage.
