This is a unique and exciting opportunity to join a busy multi-disciplinary team who manage coastal flood and erosion risk on the south coast.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated technician to join our engineering team. The role involves support with coastal inspections and surveying work, and includes the opportunity gain training using the latest UAV technology. You will assist the team in the planning and reporting of scheduled topographic surveys and inputting into maintenance design recommendations. Periodically, you will supervise beach management operations, including site surveys to record beach levels and map out changes to inform our works. There will also be the opportunity to provide project management support covering design, procurement, and site supervision, considering the environment, health and safety and the local community. Depending on experience, there will be opportunities to lead on these work packages.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, good time management as well as showing attention to detail. You will enjoy working outdoors in all weathers, be environmentally aware and have confidence in your ability to find solutions to problems.
