Frontage 2 Design Update, Hot Topic session 

Frontage 2 is the lower section of the Hayling Billy Line which links to Langstone Road, opposite the Ship Inn. The project team provided an update earlier this year that the original design for a flood defence embankment was not feasible due to advancement onto the foreshore and protected intertidal habitats. Since then, the team has been working with key stakeholders to establish a new shared solution for this frontage. This considers competing constraints, whilst maximising environmental benefits. The re-design involves a sheet pile wall and a realignment of a short section of the Billy Line.

This re-design and decision-making process behind the proposals will be presented at a focused drop-in session. 

• Hot Topic session - ‘Frontage 2 Design Update’ - Thursday 12th October, 14.00-16.00 – The Ship Inn car park, Langstone.

Meet in the car park at the Ship Inn at 14.00, there is no need to book a place. The project team will provide a walking tour of the frontage, sharing information and inviting feedback. 

Please check the weather and dress appropriately. If there is a need to seek shelter on the day, we will organise this.
