Portsmouth City Council Councillors site tour at North Portsea Island Phase 4

Great to welcome Cllr Steve Pitt (Cabinet Member for Culture, Leisure and Economic Development) and Cllr Kimberly Barrett (Cabinet Member for Climate Change and Environment), to a site tour at the North Portsea Island Scheme.

We were very especially pleased to show the many environmental enhancements including our award winning ecoformliner textured wall. Both were was pleased to see the progress made and how the scheme aims to improve the area with wider footpaths, wildflowers and trees and most of all a future proof flood defence.

It was a pleasure to update PCC Cabinet members Cllr Steve Pitt and Cllr Kimberly Barrett on the progress of the scheme, showing the completed works as well as this years’ construction site in action.  I was proud to demonstrate how this scheme will improve the local area providing not only flood protection to the people of Portsmouth, but improving access with new paths and seating and enhanced planting to encourage pollinating species.
