Update - South Hayling Beach Management

Following the high swell waves which impacted the beach at Hayling on Monday 1st February, our Contractor Les Searle Group started beach recycling activities on Thursday 4th February 2021. Due to the high swell waves, the volume of material required to rebuild the beach has increased from initial calculations. In addition to carrying out beach recycling works, we are clearing the promenade of shingle material, and placing this back on the beach.

While we initially aimed for all work to be complete by Friday 12th February, we now anticipate to continue on site for an additional week, with an estimated end date of Friday 19th February 2021.
