Our Tools
To conduct large-scale coastal mapping projects and commercial operations with the highest accuracy, the team use state-of-the-art tools and technology. Global Positioning Systems (GPS), Robotic Total Station, 3D laser scanners, All Terrain Vehicles (ATVs) all help to guide decision making alongside state-of-the-art UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) and drone technology.
Network RTK Base Stations
Real-Time Corrections from a Fixed GNSS Base.
How It Works
A physical GNSS base station broadcasts real-time corrections to rovers via radio or internet. This setup is ideal for local control, repeat visits, & areas with poor mobile coverage.
Virtual Reference Station (VRS)
Cloud-Based RTK Corrections Without a Physical Base
How It Works
VRS uses a network of continuously operating reference stations (CORS) to simulate a base station at the rover’s location. Corrections are delivered via mobile internet, enabling centimeter-level accuracy without setting up a physical base.
Whether it's surveying vast areas, or areas where access and space are more difficult, each drone offers advantages in different environments. The technology also gives us the ability to undertake complex surveys - without the need for scaffolding or other support services, helping to keep project costs low and turnaround times short.
Our Technology
Each job requires a bespoke set of information, and by selecting the appropriate tools, we can collect accurate data in any environment. We use a suite of applications and software to deliver the required information in the most suitable format. Some of our most popular systems include:
- Point cloud imaging
- Complex geomatic detailing
- High definition survey imaging
- Visualisation and modelling software
