The next stage of the North Portsea Island Coastal Defence scheme is underway
Work begins on the first stage, Kendall's Wharf, on 25th November 2019 and will continue until Spring 2020. The works include the construction of an earth embankment and wall, as well as raising the access road into Kendall's Wharf.

The Solent Bird Studies, which include The Solent Coastal Network Study and The Solent Bird Movement Study, were funded by the Environment Agency to enhance our understanding of the importance of roosting and inland feeding areas for waders and waterfowl in the Solent.

South Hayling Beach Maintenance - Spring 2026
Our Beach Management Contractor Les Searle Group will be setting up equipment along the Eastoke frontage at South Hayling Island from 23rd February. This is in preparation for the Spring Beach Management work which is due to begin on Monday 2nd March 2026.
