Coastal Partners Team

Client & Engineering Service

The Client & Engineering Service are the custodians of local authority coastal assets. They monitor and maintain these assets and provide operational engineering advice. When replacements are required, they are the informed client that ensures project requirements are clearly specified and acted on so that schemes deliver the right outcomes for our communities.

They maintain oversight of the Coastal Partners project portfolio to manage resources, priorities and standards across the whole portfolio. This ensures expectations around desired outcomes and delivery are managed and our successes are celebrated. They provide client services to neighbouring authorities as a sold service. The team comprises two sub teams, Asset Management and Beach Management.

Asset Management:

This team inspect, design and implement revenue and capital funded maintenance works with supply chain partners. They also provide a 24/7 Coastal Incident Officer service to ensure we are prepared for and can recover from coastal storms.

Beach Management:

This team look after Beach Management Plan areas along the Coastal Partners frontage. They monitor the condition of our beaches, which are our first line of defence. They develop and implement annual programmes of beach management works to manage flood and erosion risk with supply chain partners.
