Coastal Partners Team

Policy, Environment & Research Service

This PER team undertakes a broad spectrum of multi-disciplinary work including shoreline management planning, coastal strategy and adaptation plan development, project delivery, environmental assessments, habitat restoration and delivering groundbreaking coastal science and research projects. The work this team does underpins many aspects of the wider Coastal Partners service providing specialist technical support to the Client & Engineering and Capital Programme Delivery service. We also work closely with stakeholders and local communities and combine scientific knowledge with hands-on experience.

The sub team areas include:

• Environment, Licensing & Consenting
• Coastal Research

The Solent region is rich in important natural habitats and wildlife, protected under European law. Coastal management significantly impacts these habitats and water bodies, necessitating careful consideration of nature conservation and risk management in decision-making.
